I recently got peanuts and roasted chick peas. Without any exaggeration: I HAD TO THROW THE ENTIRE PACKET IN THE GARBAGE.
The taste was that bad. It was stale I tried to save money and still use it with chutney as a snack. But couldn't eat more than a mouthful. So here goes the money in drain.

DESI BRAND IS WAY TOO BAD IN QUALITY. May be Health Canada should be invited to assess the quality of products being sold at the store.

Desi Price Club is able to thrive in Ottawa just because there is not much competition.
1. Products are priced competitively as compared to Vaishali. However they are usually expired. So check before you buy. All sales are final.
2. Very disorganized
3. Extremely poor quality of products. Now they have their own brand which is useless. I suggest people to check Moncion and Loblaws because they sell Indian spices and lentils which are cleaner and much better in every aspect. You don't want to eat lentils with stones and spices full of dirt. There is no point in saving a few dimes at the expense of your health. Now, Walmart sells South Asian groceries. It's better to check out these places. Bulk and Barn can be checked out as well.

I think it's time that we should demand a better quality for every buck we spend and not allow a businessman to make profit at our expense. I like the lady owner of the store and she is very polite but when it comes to business, I think every one should be fair.

Excellent store, don't listen to Chupi he/she (curry. I mean who doesn't like curry or butter chicken, or biryani? Well, DPC is a store that offers many desi foods at low prices. And they are very friendly.

What a shit hole place I ended to, expecting a large store(Desi PRICE CLUB) Walked in less then 1000sqft , unorganized isles, narrow hardly one person can go through.... almost 80% of the items not priced, asked one young person the price of Rice, the person said i have to take the bag at the cashier for price, how bags or times do i have to take the bag to get the price as rice comes in many variety and weight...... looking through the freezer .... what a disaster i wish i had not open the freezer......Never go back or recommend.. BBB must be notified for not pricing the items

They have low prices and a good variety probably the cheapest in town when it comes to spices and lentils rice and flour
They sell expired food. Plus all sales are final with no returns or exchanges. I will never go there again!
