After purchasing a gift certificate at a discount, we were excited to try this place. We eat Indian at the other establishment 3 times a month at least. The waiter was a nice guy but his service was slow and there was only one other couple so it wasn't that he was busy. We joked that he must be cooking as well. If he was cooking, he should give it up. This food was really not good at all. The sauces had no punch and the naan was greasy and doughy. None of the food tasted like it was fresh. I would not go there again and I would certainly not recommend it to anyone who knows good Indian food.

Please go and try this place. THIS is a jewel of a restaurant, and Fort Myers NEEDS a place like this. The food is wonderful, and the service is always very good. Support REAL FOOD please.

to response to "cockroach", we at Nirvana have never had any such complaints and we know for a fact that this review comes from a person who we no longer needed his service for entertainment and this is the way he felt he needed to get back at us..he also posted this same review on Nirvana's facebook page under his name.
We are saddened that he felt the need to go to such levels.
For all the other reviews that were less then positive, we ask you to come back and let us make you a great dinner that will make up for a less then positive experiences.
We value all comments as that is how we grow as a new restaurant and correct what might have been an off night and thank you to all that have enjoyed our food. Nirvana

We found a cockroach in our food. We tried to be discrete about it when we told the waitress. The owner was very rude to us, trying to say that we put the cockroach in the food to get a free meal. We were not even asking for any money off of the bill???

I read the two reviews that are less then favorable and I have to wonder if this is a true review. My parents and I have eaten at Nirvana numerous times and have always had a great meal, very tasty, flavorful and fresh, so to say "they know" is not really an accurate statement if they did not see it come out of the freezer.
I would say to anyone reading the reviews, try Nirvana and you will not be disappointed, also this same reviewer stated in another posting that the dessert menu did not have many items, I would think you would be hard pressed to find any restaurant with an extension dessert menu, so to critize Nirvana for that just makes me think this person just wants to give a bad review for the sake of giving one.

By far, the most terrible Indian cuisine I've had in my life. The ambiance was okay, but the service lousy and delayed; the staff were nice but just did not get it! The food was absolutely lacking in taste and freshness; I know that the food was re-cooked from the freezer. Too much salt. Low in portion size. You are better off buying Indian from the grocery store and some naan. There is NOTHING FUSION ABOUT THIS RESTAURANT....TRUST ME!!!! LOUSY, LOUSY, AND THE BIGGEST WASTE OF MY MONEY. WE WOULD HAVE BEEN BETTER OFF AT SUBWAY'S OR PIZZA-HUT OR EVEN 7-11s!!!!!!

Took out of town guest for Indian food and we all thought this was outstanding. The service was helpful and timely. We enjoyed a variety of dishes and drinks..When done with dinner we headed to the bar and stayed for a night cap. Really enjoyed our dinner experiences.

Was not impressed with the food, service or anything about the place will not be going back. didn't feel welcomed at all. you would expect that they would at least try in this type of economy but that didn't happen at all.
