India is a vast country. Within its borders are all kinds of landscapes and a wide range of climates. Throw in a vibrant mix of cultures and a long, rich history and it's little wonder that the food of the subcontinent is so diverse and delicious. North Indian and South Indian cuisines are very different but influenced by some common elements. India is also surrounded by water and coastal influences are evident in cuisines from the coastal states. The North East part of the country is influenced by the Chinese. All these regional characteristics that makes Indian cooking, in our opinion, the greatest cuisine in the world.
